Senior Project Manager, Environmental Insurance
Ms. Tomchinsky serves as a Senior Project Manager within the Claims, Disputes, and Forensics team at VERTEX, handling environmental insurance matters. Her roles and responsibilities include: environmental pollution claim cause and origin investigations, reviewing cost proposals and invoices to evaluate both remedial feasibility and reasonable and necessary costs for remediation, reviewing historical site documents, evaluating laboratory data, environmental risk investigations, conducting site visits to oversee underground storage tank removal and pollution event sites and indoor air quality claims, and environmental underwriting review assessments.
She currently investigates and performs technical oversight of pollution loss insurance claims throughout the United States to ensure remediation activities are cost effective and appropriate. This includes coordination with Insureds’ environmental consultants and review of regulatory reporting/databases, preparing technical reports, claim budget tracking, and analyzing technical data. In addition, she evaluates environmental and general liability risks for underwriting clients.
