Vincent Miyagawa is a Senior Professional Engineer with over 39 years of experience. He has been involved with all aspects of project development – from project manager of a multi-discipline A-E team, principal designer, construction manager/administrator, cost estimator, construction inspector, to quality assurance agent. Mr. Miyagawa’s projects are scattered throughout the Pacific Basin, including the State of Hawaii, Pacific Island nations (Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Republic of Palau), Guam, Philippines, Japan, and South Korea. Mr. Miyagawa’s business education enhances his engineering skills by placing more emphasis on achieving the best value and long-term benefits over short-term financial incentives. Mr. Miyagawa has worked with utility agencies, governmental agencies, U.S. military, and sophisticated commercial clients.
Prior to his current employment with VERTEX, Mr. Miyagawa was a partner in one of Hawaii’s largest consulting engineering firms where he worked 23+ years managing, designing, planning, and directing infrastructure and facilities projects throughout the Pacific Basin. His exposure to a wide assortment of project types, from large to small, simple through cutting edge technologies, and focusing on the lowest construction cost or best value for the completed installation, provides Mr. Miyagawa with a true understanding of the information and analysis needed to assist his clients in appreciating how a project is being developed.
