Mr. Hartley is an experienced Structural Engineer and BIM operator with a background in developing construction documents, construction support services, forensic investigations, along with seismic risk assessments. Mr. Hartley is the Division Manager for the Structural Division of The Vertex Companies with offices in Denver, Seattle, Petaluma CA and Kansas City MO. The Structurral Division consists of seven Professional Engineers, five designers, and two drafters. Mr. Hartley has knowledge and experience in a variety of materials using steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and light gage framing systems. He is proficient in the BIM software systems of Bentley’s AECOSIM and Autodesk REVIT. He has experience in a range of project types from small residential renovations to hospital bed towers. Mr. Hartley has performed forensic investigations in builders risk, and cause and origin claims.
Mr. Hartley received a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Elon University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2007. Over 10 years in the industry, he has developed expertise in structural design, connection design, finite element modeling, BIM modeling, project management, and building coordination.
