VERTEX provided surety consulting and staff augmentation services for the construction of the University at Albany Campus Center Expansion Project in Albany, New York.
The newly constructed space includes the renovation of approximately 46,000 square feet of the existing Campus Center and construction of approximately 76,000 square feet of new space. The project included the construction of a 400 seat multi-use auditorium, multi-use conference and rehearsal room, student group office suites, Starbucks coffee venue, miscellaneous lounges, and meeting rooms, a double height dining room with five associated market-style foodservice venues, and a monumental stair and bridge. Additionally, the project includes landscaping surrounding the West Addition with rain gardens, renovation of the existing bus drop-off area, and construction of outdoor green spaces and a central courtyard.
