We are pleased to announce the addition of a distinguished new member to VERTEX. Hendrik Prinsloo, Ph.D., has joined our Forensics team to provide scheduling and delay analysis.
Hailing from South Africa, Dr. Prinsloo has over 20 years of leadership experience in construction management and claims consulting and has successfully managed over $3 billion in complex construction projects, including the landmark Freedom Park developed for Nelson Mandela in Pretoria.
He has a proven track record of leading large-scale claim assignments, with experience analyzing more than 70 delay claims. Dr. Prinsloo has also served as a qualified construction adjudicator. He holds a doctorate in delay analysis and a master’s degree in real estate development.
Dr. Prinsloo has served as a university professor in construction management and is past-president of the Association of Schools of Construction South Africa. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on construction claim analysis and dispute resolution. The second edition of his book Delay Analysis Simplified – A Step-by-Step Guide for the Analysis and Formulation of Delay Claims was recently published.
In his role with VERTEX, Dr. Prinsloo oversees construction scheduling and analysis of delayed projects, with the goal of simplifying highly complicated issues in order to bring clarity and understanding. This includes establishing the project’s critical path, evaluating schedule slippage and causation, and determining entitlement to claims based on contractual terms or assessing the impact of changes due to various factors. He also serves as a testifying expert on issues relating to construction scheduling and delays.
