VERTEX performed Tenant Improvement services on a core and shell space for a state of the art fitness tenant. The existing space included 6 floors of residential condos above the fitness space. The construction required acoustical engineering to eliminate the vibrations and high decibel level the center operates at. All equipment (mechanical, sprinklers, and electrical) was suspended from acoustical hangers above an acoustically rated hard lid ceiling. A concrete floor was poured and stained with no connections to the core and shell of the existing structure. Two 8-foot-tall concrete climbing walls were installed with attached 9-foot-tall monkey bars. The space included men’s and women’s locker rooms with full amenities and a fully operational juice bar. The project was completed on a tight 11-week schedule and was completed on time and within budget.
