VERTEX was retained to perform a damages, standard of care review and repair plan for the design of a subsurface drainage system and isolated slab for a large commercial building in Broomfield, Colorado. Through an alternate repair design to the foundation drain replacement and an innovative structural repair design to the isolated slab, VERTEX was able to greatly reduce the cost of the claim related to a complete repair of the existing systems. The use of an internal foundation drain for the repair of the subsurface drainage system in addition to the structural repair of the isolated building slab that included adjustable helical piers and abandonment of the existing pier system brought great value to this claim by reducing the overall claim cost.
