VTX served as the consultant to co-sureties on a transmission line project in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. This project involved the installation of nearly 400 km of transmission lines in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. The work included the installation of wood pole towers, guyed towers, and self-supporting towers in various topographies. The project required phasing based on weather/environmental restrictions and operational requirements of the end-user. Due to the access to the sites in many remote locations, coordination of the work was paramount in order to effectively deliver the proposed schedule. Work camps and shift rotations were key components of the execution of the work. Initially, VTX provided investigative services, a cost-to-complete report, schedule analysis, and on-site monitoring. Upon termination of the principal, VTX managed the preparation of the re-tender RFP, the site walk process, and negotiations with the re-tender contractors/the obligee for final re-let.
