VERTEX manages and provides operational and environmental support services to an airport located in the New York Tri-State area. Support services provided range from due diligence, insurance support, site construction assistance, to site remediation.
Environmental projects include soil characterization reuse and disposal, environmental compliance, indoor building environment services including asbestos and lead paint inspections, site remediation activities within wetland areas and an active fuel farm facility, underground storage tanks (USTs) compliance and remediation, and management/remediation of historic fill material. VERTEX provides oversight for tenant improvement projects in support of the Airport operations.
Recent projects have included the investigation and remediation of light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL), assistance with Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) compliance services, owner’s representation and support for taxiway and runway rehabilitation projects, and investigation and remediation of historic fill material impacted soils.
VERTEX has prepared the Airports Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan, assists with wetland permitting, and remedial action permit assistance. VERTEX is relied upon by the client to ensure projects are in compliance with environmental regulations and timeframes.
