Adam Rhoten

Adam Rhoten is a Director in the San Francisco office. Prior to joining VERTEX, Mr. Rhoten was a Principal, a Manager and a Senior Analyst in the Intellectual Property practices at California Consultants Group, Ocean Tomo and NERA Economic Consulting, respectively. In these roles, Mr. Rhoten oversaw all aspects of client engagements, where his primary focus was providing litigation support for the valuation of intellectual property and other intangible assets for corporate clients. Mr. Rhoten has experience in assisting various Federal and State Courts, Mediation bodies, and Arbitrators in determining economic damages related to Copyrights, Trademarks, and Patents, as well as FRAND/RAND rates for SEPs in corporate acquisition and infringement/litigation settings.

Mr. Rhoten has provided support for opinions regarding patent licensing and damages on behalf of Plaintiffs and Defendants within the telecommunication, consumer product, thermal management, mobile device, enterprise resource management, and Software as a Service industries.
Mr. Rhoten is proud to have served many of the AM Law 100 firms, as well as served on working groups related to technology, SEPs / FRAND licensing commitments, and telecommunication as it relates to autonomous vehicles and modern mobility.
