(draft) Community Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Opening of New 16,000-Square-Foot Facility

July 22, 2025

VERTEX proudly served as Owner’s Project Manager for a newly completed community facility, officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony in May 2025.

This 16,000-square-foot, all-electric facility will serve as a central hub for essential local services and programs. Designed with flexibility and community in mind, the building features:

  • Administrative offices and veteran support services
  • Several fitness and wellness areas
  • A fully operational kitchen
  • A large multipurpose room with A/V capabilities that can be partitioned for multiple group uses or opened up for larger gatherings such as communal meals or recreational events

The event brought together local officials, community members, and project stakeholders to celebrate the completion of a project years in the making.

The project was completed under budget, with savings returned to the municipality. In addition, community fundraising efforts allowed for the purchase of outdoor furniture and fitness equipment beyond the project’s original scope—demonstrating the strength of public engagement and support.

Environmentally conscious design was a priority. The building is fossil fuel–free and fully electric, with rooftop solar panels generating a significant portion of the building’s energy needs. These sustainable features were made possible in part through state-level funding support.

VERTEX is honored to have played a key role in bringing this important community resource to life.
