This conference will explore the constraints and opportunities of a place-based educational experience for students in the Boston and surrounding region.

Vertex is excited to have collaborated on this tour to highlight three distinct projects that exemplify the power of place, and subsequently projects Vertex played a pivotal role on during construction.
On this tour participants will visit the Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre and Plaza for innovative design, the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground for adaptive renovation, and the Center for Computing and Data Sciences for interdisciplinary collaboration and sustainability.
Additionally, students will learn about innovative architectural design elements, sustainable practices, and the transformative potential of adaptive reuse. They will also see how intentional design fosters interdisciplinary collaboration.
