The Travelers Bond & Specialty Insurance Golf Tournament has become a long-standing tradition in support of the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut. Each year, the tournament brings together industry leaders and partners for a day of golf, networking, and philanthropy—all aimed at strengthening the communities United Way serves.
Now in its 28th year, the tournament continues to raise significant contributions for United Way’s century-long mission of improving child literacy, advancing access to housing, supporting economic stability through fair wages, and helping residents live longer, healthier lives. The 2024 event raised over $130,000, a milestone that demonstrates the powerful impact of collective giving in the region.
Today, September 4, 2025, Vertex is joining industry peers at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, CT to once again support this important cause. Representing Vertex on the course are Jonathan Hahn and Frank Benway, who are participating in the 18-hole scramble alongside Travelers and other partners.
Off the greens, Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald and Vertex are co-hosting a luncheon at Max Downtown in Hartford, CT, with Vertex represented by Anton Ayrapetov, Michael Pellegri, CCM, Margaret Pellegri, and Jerry Librizzi.
By participating in both the tournament and luncheon, Vertex continues to support the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut and its mission to strengthen local communities.
