VERTEX provided consulting services to the surety on structural steel matters relating to the 10-year, 845,000 sf, 28-gate American Airlines Terminal 4/5 Redevelopment Program which included a connector bridge between the terminals and the future planned Automate People Mover. The project also included combining the main entrances of terminals 4 and 5 to create a 300,000 sf centralized facility as well as a new headhouse providing new check-in areas, ticket counters, and baggage system operations and a new level for two new security screening checkpoints. VERTEX services included initial review and resolution of structural steel issues and deficiencies, various cost analyses, project monitoring, and other miscellaneous construction contract administration and vender payment resolution.
