VERTEX acted as the completion contractor on the surety’s behalf for the construction of the Hanover Township Emergency Services Building project. The project included the addition of a 5,000 sq. ft. apparatus bay to an existing single-story residence, and a 17-acre campus expansion with infrastructure improvements for the Village of Bartlett. The program includes a 6-bay emergency vehicle storage and service building, a certified storm shelter, locker room, public restrooms, sewer, and water improvements, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) specified drive, parking lot, and site lighting. The program also included road improvements, wetland restoration, native plant restoration and maintenance, the reconstruction of the building envelope, the installation of all major mechanicals, and interior finishes.
VERTEX’s scope of services included cost analysis, ratifying subcontractors, management of all trades, lead Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings, reviewing subcontractor invoices, processing owner payment application, project closeout, and other construction administration services.
