VTX conducted soil remediation at an industrial property located in the GTA in which the soils were contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons resulting from truck spillages and from an underground storage tank (UST) located on an off-site property.
The work involved coordinating utility and earthworks contractors, supervision of the excavation along the site boundary, monitoring the off-site disposal of contaminated soils, collection of confirmatory samples for laboratory analysis from the excavation, supervision of backfilling, compaction and resurfacing. Ongoing groundwater monitoring was carried out as part of the remediation activities.
