On behalf of a prominent local developer, VERTEX implemented a comprehensive hazardous materials identification program and created project specifications for the removal of asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, and PCB-containing ballasts from an 8-story, 120,000-square-foot office building in Bethesda, MD. The project included complete remediation of interior and exterior hazardous materials in support of complete gut demolition of all 8 floors for building raze. VERTEX provided successful design solutions for challenging interior and exterior abatement concerns. Consulting services included contractor bidding and award services, as well as project administration and management, including project monitoring services, for compliance with local regulations during the 6-month asbestos abatement project.
