VERTEX provided construction services to a new building project on 609 W. Randolph in Chicago, Illinois. The grand historic architecture of Chicago inspired this extraordinary 15-story office building, but with all the modern fixtures of the future. It is located in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. The newly constructed tower is built between three pre-existing buildings, one incorporated from a four-story masonry building built in the late 19th century. To keep the surrounding aesthetics, architects have designed the tower portion in both brick laid precast panels and metal paneling and included warehouse-inspired floor-length windows. The base of the building has a row of metal cross-bracing to emphasize the theme even further. The amenities include a Full-Service Cafe, Open Air Terrace, and Mixed-Use Communal Space, all on the 15th floor with views of the city. There are 13 customizable office floors in the building and three floors are move-in ready with touchless technology, flexible and socially distanced workspaces.
