VTX provided consulting services to the surety on nine projects in Ottawa, Ontario, for a Heavy Highway/Landscape contractor. Five of the nine projects required various services to ensure their completion. These projects ranged in size from $300K to $1 million and included highway overpass repairs, parkway landscape rehabilitation, utility bridge upgrades, park restorations, and apartment building podium/parking renovations. VTX’s services included preparing Cost-To-Complete reports, ratification of subcontractors, reconciliation of subcontractors, remedial work review, site monitoring, managing interim completion crews, developing winter condition strategies, preparing re-tender packages, hosting site walks, identifying completion contractors, developing recovery schedules, hosting and sharing documents through VERTEX hosted management services, and final bid review/award to completion contractors. VTX also assisted the surety in analyzing L&M claims and owner claims for liquidated and actual damages.
