The highest construction project in North America is underway, and as our name would indicate, it is the perfect job for VERTEX.

Pikes Peak, located in the Rocky Mountains west of Colorado Springs, is one of the most famous — and most attainable — 14ers in the country. Clocking in at a magnificent 14,115 feet, Pikes Peak is one of the 53 mountains in Colorado that achieves a height of 14,000 feet+, offering it further bragging rights as one of the top 100 mountains in the United States.

Unlike the early years (1820s) when ascendants of Pikes Peak were left to choose between burros or by foot, Pikes Peak can now be ascended via the Pikes Peak Highway, Barr Trail, and the Cog Railroad.

VERTEX is currently serving to oversee the completion of the architectural/structural steel scope of work at the Summit Visitor Center. At an elevation of 14,115 feet above sea level, it is considered the highest elevation construction project happening in North America today. The Summit Visitor Center will be a wonderful destination and is expected to open for visitors in the coming weeks. Get some inspiration to visit from these amazing photos.
