VERTEX’s subsidiary Optistar performed on-premise collection and scanning of physical documents and collected ESI from on-premise servers in connection with a surety claim. Optistar then collected accounting data periodically from the on-premise server via a VPN connection. Optistar is currently preserving the digital information using secure, cloud storage.
