VERTEX was awarded a project to reposition a Class B office building in the Washington Park neighborhood of Denver. The building, built in 1961, was a mix of commercial and residential construction types with no ceiling plenum, which presented challenging constraints to work within. The VERTEX team worked closely with the design group, Curate Workplace, to identify structural and constructability issues throughout the duration of the project to find solutions and deliver a beautiful, high-end product to the owner/client. Permitting and numerous unforeseen conditions added plenty of hurdles but the VERTEX project team was able to maintain schedule and the end product meets the exact needs of the client who now owns their own office building and will continue to customize this very unique building with plans to add a gym and outdoor seating area.
