VERTEX was engaged by Village Gas to provide civil engineering design and municipal permitting services associated with the addition of new gasoline fueling stations and associated site improvements at its location in Foster, Rhode Island. Work included the development of a Site Plan, including the new dispensers as well as parking, circulation, accessibility, and stormwater management improvements. The Site Plan was developed in accordance with the Town’s Code of Ordinances and the RI Department of Environmental Management’s regulations. The project required Commercial Site Plan Review by the Foster Planning Board and a Dimensional Variance from the Foster Zoning Board of Review. VERTEX prepared application packages for each and presented the project at public meetings on behalf of the Client. Both the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Review approved the respective applications, allowing the Client to move forward with the project.
