Cost Management & Cost Estimating
VERTEX’s team of construction consultants provides accurate Cost Management & Cost Estimating services to developers and owners on new development and renovation projects.
For most developments and construction projects, an accurate cost estimate is vital to help determine their investment ROI and financial risks. It goes without saying that it is a driving factor for many real estate business decisions.
VERTEX provides construction cost estimating with a holistic view of how much it costs to construct a building or perform a repair. Our years of experience gained in construction forensics have given us deep insight into the breakdown of construction costs, seeing how choices of materials and labor affect the final figure. Because of this, our cost estimating work product has withstood expert peer review in the courtroom and in reconciliations with some of the largest general contractors in the country.
By establishing a realistic expectation, our clients can sleep well knowing their decisions are made on well-grounded numbers. We perform estimates at every stage of construction, from the conceptual level to full construction document level.
VERTEX’s qualified cost experts estimate and/or evaluate construction costs utilizing industry-standard estimating techniques. Because VERTEX is a large construction contractor, we maintain a database of subcontractor and vendor pricing within our Procore system, so we have a feel for current market conditions. We also use OnScreen Takeoff software for quantity takeoffs. Lastly, VERTEX maintains subscriptions to industry-standard cost databases including Xactimate, EquipmentWatch, and RSMeans.
