SCHEDULE

Peer Schedule Audit

Whether you are an Owner, Developer, Financing Institution, or Surety, VERTEX’s team of scheduling experts can work with your project team to provide in-depth reviews of Contractor’s schedules submitted for acceptance. Our reviews and analysis are focused on scope and critical path sequencing, can identify potential concerns and provide commentary on missing scope and scheduling issues, including but not limited to: omission of key schedule information, issues with sequencing and logistics, resource management, and cash flow. Once a baseline schedule is accepted, we can assist with reviewing schedule updates, analyzing changes to the schedule including: logic changes, duration changes, changes in critical and near critical paths to give a clearer picture of the potential risks in the schedule. We can review and respond to any narratives or correspondence associated with the schedule to assist with mitigation of potential delays or claims that could arise during the duration of the project.

We can also support your project team by providing supplemental services, as required, including:

CM/Contractor Construction Scheduling

VERTEX provides scheduling services to Construction Managers and General Contractors, and can provide valuable insight to and management of the project’s most valuable tool—its schedule. Working as a team with all project representatives, VERTEX utilizes Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling techniques to:

  • Develop and define a solid baseline schedule
  • Incorporate critical elements of the project—including resources, manpower, and cost
  • Monitor and maintain the project schedule

Our team of scheduling experts provides top-notch independent schedule management services, devoid of bias, working side by side with our clients. By assessing each phase individually and collectively, VERTEX helps provide the most accurate projection of the work ahead. Additionally, by defining relationships between various work plans and by compiling a comprehensive project schedule, critical activities can be identified and closely monitored, and conflicts can be quickly remedied, ensuring the integrity of the overall project goals.

VERTEX believes in a hands-on approach and will visit the site during the planning phase to ensure compilation of a comprehensive baseline schedule and as frequently as deemed necessary during the life of the Project to ensure accurate tracking of as-built information.

As the construction industry is requiring more and more stringent scheduling specifications, VERTEX will work with the Project team to ensure all scheduling requirements are met and exceeded. VERTEX uses the latest software including Primavera P6 Professional, which is often listed as a requirement in the Contract Specifications. In addition, VERTEX can assist with preparation of monthly reports including a detailed narrative and supporting schedule reports.

Third Party/Master Planning

Larger scale projects require a higher level of Planning, which is why VERTEX offers Master Schedule Management services. Our professionals focus on creating and tracking project progress from an overall perspective – coordinating Owner tasks, design and consultant schedules, along with all contractor/CM schedules, to provide our Clients with an accurate project picture.

Unlike an individual project schedule, integrated master schedules operate in coordination with the master plan to aid the Owner and project team in identifying and understanding the interrelationships between the various project teams, and when applicable, the various segments of the project. In addition, a master schedule can also:

  • Develop milestones that integrate with a master plan
  • Provide for enhanced risk management
  • Demonstrate potential coordination issues
