Carson is experienced in the review and analysis of construction claims related to financial and scheduling disputes. Carson has evaluated a variety of project delays using the critical path method (“CPM”) including design related changes, fabrication and delivery delays, adverse weather impacts, and loss of productivity. He has also analyzed claims related to cost overruns, lost profits, and wrongful termination.
Carson has assisted in the preparation of claims, expert reports, settlement presentations, and testimony. He has been involved in a variety of industrial, commercial, residential, public works, and infrastructure projects including power plants, sports stadiums, high-rise condominiums, hotels, hospitals, and roadways. Carson has evaluated economic damages resulting from a variety of issues including schedule delay, force majeure, design changes, lost productivity, and labor rate escalation, among others.
Carson has also provided owners and general contractors with on-going project support. His experience includes developing project schedules (including resource loading), periodically monitoring and validating schedule progress, and finding areas for improvement in schedule quality and accuracy.
Carson is also experienced in preparing construction estimates. His experience includes developing remediation and repair estimates related to incomplete, defective, and damaged work. Carson has also prepared estimates for added change order work. He has prepared estimates for a variety of projects including high-rise buildings, apartment/condominium complexes, storage buildings, and food processing facilities, among others.
