Construction Site Manager, Owner's Project Management
Mr. Alemu is an Onsite Construction Site Manager for Vertex’s Owner’s Project Manager Team. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. His responsibilities include monitoring of all contractor work during construction; review of submittals, RFIs, ASIs, requisitions, certified payrolls; coordinating construction materials testing and inspections; coordination with the Owners personnel, Architect, Engineers, and contractors; and generation of daily job reports.
Previously he has worked as an Assistant Project Manager for a General Contracting firm on Federal construction projects.
He has also worked at a Construction Materials Testing and Inspections firm performing geotechnical field observations including soil laboratory testing on a variety of public and private infrastructure projects. His responsibilities included periodic oversight and engineering support for soils field technicians. He managed and performed several engineering inspections such as floor flatness testing, echo testing, brick shear testing, rebar, concrete testing, roofing inspection, PT tendons inspections. and soil compaction inspection using a nuclear gauge for trench logging for slurry wall construction.
