Timothy Bonfatti

Tim has been a leader in capital project delivery for over 35 years. Since joining his family’s construction company after a short period as a surety claims attorney, Tim has managed the design, construction, and close-out of over $3 billion of new and renovation construction in the wastewater/water treatment, K-12, municipal, higher ed/research, healthcare, commercial and residential development sectors. In addition, Tim has been an industry leader in alternative project delivery having spearheaded the successful effort in passing Construction Reform legislation in Massachusetts in 2004. This led to the widespread adoption of CM at Risk, Design Build, and Owner’s Project Management services in public projects in Massachusetts. In 2009, Tim founded Compass Project Management, Inc. which became one of the preeminent project management firms in Mass. Compass was acquired by Vertex in 2019 and has since expanded project management services across the United States. Tim is a member of the Medfield Permanent Building Committee and past member of the Medfield School Committee. He is past Chairman of the Associated General Contractors and a past member of the Board of Overseers of the Boston Architectural College.
