Timothy Duffy is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Environmental Engineer with over 25 years of experience performing assessments of real estate and business operations. Experience includes expert witness testimony in court cases involving the principles of engineering and industrial hygiene. With the Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection, Mr. Duffy provided assistance to the State’s Attorney Office in district court to enforce regulations governing environmental health in Baltimore County. Mr. Duffy directs the environmental and industrial hygiene activities of VERTEX, serving clients which include local government agencies, property management companies, insurance companies, attorneys, corporate clients and private individuals.
His overall responsibilities include: providing comprehensive environmental engineering and industrial hygiene services, indoor air quality and industrial hygiene forensic review, cause and origin analysis, investigations for causation of moisture intrusion and moisture condensation, failure analysis and building defect identification. Mr. Duffy also evaluates structures for impact and restoration requirements following losses due to fire, rain, wind, hail, settlement, vehicle impacts, long term deterioration and other destructive processes.
